I am an IT management professional turned stay at home mom of two wonderful boys. I hail from Chennai and live in Chicago with my family. I hold my Bachelors in Engineering from College of Engineering, Guindy, which is one of the most reputed Engineering colleges in India. I also hold my Management degree in Finance and Strategy from Northern Illinois University,IL. Worked for close to 13 years in software development and management in India and Chicago before becoming a full time mom of my boys. I love teaching, travelling,exploring places with my boys. Being a mother is my strongest side till date and I believe in letting my kids explore the world around them.
During my free time at home, I explored several interests including cooking international cuisines, baking, knitting,crafting and lastly photography which struck a chord with me. Photography is my passion that gives an outlet for my creative interests. Photojournalism is my art.I document stories. I believe in story telling through pictures.
My family has always been very supportive of this journey in every way possible.My first camera was a Minolta point and shoot that I bought when I was at work in NYC. My second buy was a Canon SLR with which I started my journey. I discovered my real passion when the digital SLRs came around. My first DSLR was a Canon Rebel XS that helped me to understand the depths of manual photography. There is absolutely no looking back since then. I am a Canon girl but currently falling in love with my new purchase, the Sony A7III.
